Alex Gopher Unleashes 'My New Remixes' Double CD

Press release Press release Press release

A pioneer of the groundbreaking French Touch movement, which yielded the likes of Daft Punk, Cassius, Stardust and Etienne de Crecy, Alex Gopher has blazed a musical path that encompasses techno, electro, pop and trip-hop. His latest project, a double CD release entitled ‘My New Remixes’, showcases his re-touching talents and is an invitation to rediscover some of today’s key artists from the worlds of electro, hip-hop, rock and beyond.

Ladyhawke, Kid Sister, Kraftwerk, Dada Life, Tocadisco, Benny Benassi and more receive Gopher’s French touch on the double disc package, which also includes “Ash Sync”, an unreleased track composed by Air, Etienne de Crécy and Alex Gopher. ‘My New Remixes’ will have a physical and digital release in the US on March 16, 2010 via Gopher's own label, Go4 Music, and will be accompanied by his first North American tour for ten years in May.

Gopher has collaborated with the likes of Jamiroquai, Air, Vanessa Paradis, Bob Sinclair and Mr Oizo throughout his career. As a DJ he is closely aligned with electro, but his involvement in French Touch means Gopher always trends towards a musical and funky style in his sets, even when he goes rough. His first tour in the US for more than a decade comes hot on the heels of Gopher's club smash ‘Aurora’, which Benny Benassi singled out as his top tune in last year’s DJ Mag Top 100 issue.
