techno goes world music

The U.K.'s Guardian newspaper notes that the latest sound in techno is world music, with tracks where "traditional African, Arabic and Latin sounds" abound. As the author notes, this is "nothing new," and we'll have to add an amen to that. There was a term for dance music that sampled organic, global rhythms. What was it again? Oh yeah: house.
