G4 notes that, despite all the hype, the video game DJ Hero failed to crack top 10 in game sales last month (although it was released late in the month) and here's why:
DJ Hero is a game where you pretend to be a guy who is playing records. Think about that for a second. You're not pretending to be a person who is doing something exciting--you're not playing fake music or putting out a fake fire--you're pretending to be a person who is playing a recording made by another person.
The site Ars Technica also has its own take about why Hero is a fail, including that it isn't much of a multiplayer party game, most people don't know their way around a turntable, it's expensive and most people aren't all that familiar with the tunes.
I wasn't impressed either, but I'm no 16-year-old gamer.
Thanks for making danceblogga a top 5 destination for dance music news on Google.
