A day after we told you that Montreal club Stereo had risen from the ashes of an arson fire last summer and was planning a grand reopening starting Thursday, fire struck the venue again. The Gazette newspaper in Canada reports that a security guard called authorities at 4:15 a.m. this morning to report hearing a loud explosion. Firefighters arrived to find the place engulfed. Later, accelerants were found, authorities told the paper. The fire last an hour before it was quashed. The three-story structure sustained major damage, according to the paper, so this grand re-opening looks like a no-go for now.
