l.a. times comes up blank

A few weeks after I profiled her in LA Weekly, the Los Angeles Times catches up with nu electro-rapper Amanda Blank, who has a new album (I Love You) and a show tonight at the El Rey Theater in L.A.'s Miracle Mile district.

"I keep getting compared to Lady Gaga, which makes no sense at all to me," Blank tells Scott T. Sterling. "She's clearly into all of that -- she named her album 'The Fame.' That’s cool and more power to her. I don’t know if that’s something I want."
