hard halloween -- not at the forum

Gary Richards, promoter of the ill-fated Hard Summer festival over the weekend, says his Hard Haunted Mansion event planned at the same venue -- The Forum in Inglewood, California -- will be moved to a yet-to-be-disclosed location.

"We learned that the Forum is just not the right place for an event like this," Richards told the Los Angeles Times. "Knowing now that people will jump from balconies onto the floor, the Forum is not good for us ..."

Richards says the shut-down and subsequent refunds will cost him in the seven figures. The Times states that a few hundred crashers who came through the VIP area and ended up climbing from a balcony down to the main floor were likely the cause of the disturbances and ultimate shut-down of the Saturday event. But all this did appear to happen as Chromeo was about to go on and people headed for the main stage (see posts below).
