pundit raves about voorn

Dutch DJ Joris Voorn sure is getting some traction with his groundbreaking mix-CD, Balance 014, which orchestrates 102 tracks via Ableton Live. It's out this week stateside. U.K. Telegraph newspaper columnist Edmund Conway, who usually writes about economic matters, seems blown away by the two-disc long-player:

"The result is something that is frequently symphonic, that flows from one oeuvre to another, that is melodic but transient ... It is quite simply a thing of beauty and I can't seem to listen to anything else on my iPod at the moment ... I hope that for the sceptical among you it would remind you that dance music can be something creative and sophisticated."

That's quite an endorsement.
