dance music finds deep end of radio dial

New York pop-dance radio station Pulse 87.7 FM has started a trend: Apparently analogue television stations at channel 6 also overlap with the 87.7 frequency on the FM dial. While it's been seen as a radio wasteland in the past, a Pulse 87.7's parent, Mega Media Group, is trying to take advantage of the opening. Reports are that the company plans to take over the 87.7 FM frequencies in Los Angeles and Chicago. And the San Diego Reader reports that a dance station on that end of the dial in California's second-largest city is a strong possibility as well.
