big and hard: giant maximus expands for nye

It looks like the suddenly successful Hard festivals will have a presence on New Year's Eve in Los Angeles after all. The man responsible for Hard, DJ Destructo (a.k.a. Gary Richards, above, right), is hosting a Destructo Stage at Giant Maximus in downtown Los Angeles. He's got himself (as Destructo), Mickey Avalon, Dirt Nasty, Tittsworth, Franki Chan, Paparazzi, Andre Legacy and Beardo for the cool kids.

Giant's main stage includes entertainment from Moby, Benny Benassi, Dirty South, Mark Farina, Marques Wyatt, and an early perfromance by Paul Oakenfold. The party, slated for 10,000 people on the streets of downtown, is a KCRW Presents event, with MySpace Music and Metromix onboard as sponsors. Tix and info.
