an album debut for deadmau5

Canadian remixer and producer Deadmau5, who seemed to come out of nowhere in 2006 and 2007 with a string of Beatport best-sellers, has finally crafted a debut album, Random Album Title, due digitally Sept. 2 and on hardcopy Nov. 4 via Ultra Records. The album comes with marathon a world tour in which 28-year-old Toronto artist, born Joel Zimmerman, will perform live in his mouse-head costume, using a laptop, manipulating visuals.

The album has a few of the trance-tinged, tech-house gems that made him a name on the super-club circuit, including "Not Exactly" and "Faxing Berlin," as well as new, unreleased material ("Some Kind of Blue," "Slip"). Here's my early 2007 profile of Mr. Mau5. Here's the track list:
