New York Police Department officers closed Manhattan super-club Pacha over the weekend after undercover investigators allegedly purchased drugs there repeatedly since last summer. Police say they made a series of 10 separate drug buys at the venue, the latest being $120 worth of ecstasy in June, according to the New York Daily News. Pacha's Friday-night closure came right before it was to be hold the official Gay Pride Parade after-party Sunday, leading some to accuse the police of anti-gay bias. The Daily News reports that police are also suing the club along with another venue caught up in the sweep. It's not clear if Pacha will be allowed to reopen.Wednesday, July 02, 2008
