-Hipster emporium American Apparel will be the exclusive North American retailer for Sebastian Tellier's (pictured above) album, Sexuality, which was produced by Daft Punk collaborator Guy Manuel De Homem-Christo. The CD, on France's Record Makers label, hits stores in "pre-release" mode July 22. "Full release" comes in October. I interpret that to mean that Sexuality will be available at other retailers. The first single is "Sexual Sportswear," (check the Donovan mix here), and American Apparel is rolling out its own SexualiT and SexualiTank to coincide with the release.-Hercules and Love Affair has been getting a lot of ink (check out The New York Times). The disco-punk act's self-titled debut is out today via Mute/DFA. The group is hitting the road with the following dates:
July 23 - Los Angeles - The Echo
July 23 - Los Angeles - MJ (DJ set)
July 25 - San Diego - The Casbah
July 26 - San Francisco - Mezzanine
Aug. 8 - New York - The Fillmore at Irving Plaza
-Organizer's of last month's Movement festival in Detroit say the three-day concert saw 80,000 attendees, a record for the annual techno event.
-Paul Oakenfold is returning to his roots at London radio station Kiss, where he'll host a series of shows looking back at the last 20 years of dance music. It's part of the U.K.'s 20th anniversary of its rave summer of love in 1989.
