-The Los Angeles Times' Buzz Bands blog reports that Orange County is getting a new big room for dance music (and is thus losing one for live music). The Galaxy Concert Theater is being transformed into a super-club to be called RevolveR, which is scheduled to open June 1.

-The U.K.'s Guardian newspaper says the Last Big Thing, '80s-era, eclectic "Balearic" music, the type of spin-session sounds inspired by Ibizan sunrises, is making a comeback.
