I'm not the only one who doesn't buy the hype surrounding cool-kid Steve Aoki's rough-cut "indie DJ" style. Pitchfork grows a pair and slams Aoki's new mix-CD, Pillowface and His Airplane Chronicles. The music on the comp represents "'new noise' of a 21st century American Apparelled rock/dance zeitgeist that's not at all played out in the slightest," states the 'fork's David Raposa.
