Two for Tuesday:

-A report out of the Middle East claims that the arrest of drum 'n' bass star Grooverider last month on drug- and porn-possession charges cost the Dubai promoter who had booked him for a party about $8,200 in losses. The promoter claims he's due "a full refund from the DJ's management company in London" because he warned the spinner that bringing dope and other contraband to Dubai is a no-no. Meanwhile, the British embassy in the United Arab Emirates has offered assistance to U.K.-based Grooverider.

-Remix magazine claims its recent Remix Hotel Los Angeles DJ-production, training and networking event drew its largest crowds in its three years in Hollywood -- 2,700 attendees over three days. I heard crowds were thinner than last year, though.
