Wednesday notes:

-John Digweed is releasing Transitions Vol. 3 on Renaissance Sept. 24. As the title suggests, the 20-tracker with exclusive edits is the third mix-CD in a series that Digweed has helmed with unusual frequency.

"Musically speaking, I've been shifting through the gears over the series,"Digweed states. "We're now approaching top speed. This mix still represents an immediate snapshot of my favorite tunes and producers, but it's also about that specific energy you get at 3 or 4 a.m. at the best clubs or festivals around the world."

-Also from the land of Renaissance comes a new mix series that will be released exclusively on iTunes, with no CD product to speak of. The first example, Renaissance Digital 001 (above), gets posted Sept. 3. The 70-plus-minute mix was done by Paolo Mojo, who says, "In a few years all compilations will be done this way."
