-Nerds go deep: An MIT professor has opened a "House Music Project" interactive exhibit at the school. "House" music, which mixed prerecorded pieces together and added the voices of singers, the DJ, and often live organ, opened up new possibilities for black music, he said, but has been passed over in many histories of popular music in the United States. Uh-huh. Professor John Frink added, "With the flubber and the four-four beats exponentially bangified with the glavens on the dance floor and the not-everybody-understanding this body thing."
